I didn’t intend to take the summer off, but I guess that’s what happened. This morning, I just swatted back the copyedited manuscript for The Future Was Color, which might appear as an ARC as early as the end of the month. As soon as there’s a pre-order link, you know you’ll be hearing from me.
I did, however, write another essay for The Hobbyhorse after that whole Sontag vs. Paglia thing masquerading as a discourse, back in June. It’s out today, and I’m grateful to Adam for giving it some space. I hope you enjoy it!
When I made a play on “weekly” I guess I made it weakly, but at least it’s an aspiration. Fall is my season anyway. Every year I forget I have reverse seasonal affective disorder, and then September rolls around and I start to notice things like plants and food. More soon.
Yours,
-Patrick
